Advanced Transmission Programming & Custom Tuning
Modern drivetrains are entirely computer-controlled. Whether we are installing a complete heavy-duty rebuild or replacing a highly technical valve body, the transmission control module (TCM) must be precisely programmed to communicate with your vehicle. We have the advanced diagnostic equipment and software capabilities to perform standard module programming and flashing in-house for all vehicle types, so your car or truck never has to be towed to a dealership just to get the computer synced up.
Specialty Custom Tuning: If you need custom tuning to adjust shift points, line pressures, or performance mapping, this is handled as a separate specialty service. Because custom tuning requires careful calibration for your specific goals, we require a dedicated consultation to hammer out the exact details of your setup and schedule a specific appointment for the work.
Complete Drivetrain Coverage & Complex Repairs
While we are nationally recognized for our heavy-duty 6L80 builds, our shop takes on the major tear-downs and intricate internal work on all drivetrains—from standard daily drivers to the complex jobs other mechanics turn away:

Rear-Wheel Drive (2WD & 4WD): We handle complete tear-downs, R&R, and rebuilding for most rear-wheel drive cars, two-wheel drive trucks, and four-wheel drive 4x4s.

Front-Wheel Drive (FWD): Many shops refuse FWD vehicles because they frequently require dropping the entire engine cradle and subframe just to access the transmission. We have the equipment and expertise to handle these massive teardowns safely and correctly.

CVT Transmissions: For years, Continuously Variable Transmissions (CVTs) were difficult to service simply because replacement parts were largely unavailable. We now have full access to the necessary components and have been successfully rebuilding CVTs in-house.

4L60 & Classic GM Builds: For old-school trucks and classic GM setups, we build heavy-duty 4L60 transmissions engineered to shift right and hold up to real-world abuse.
In-House Machining & Fabrication

Precision Pump Machining: We machine our own pumps to restore exact factory tolerances and ensure proper hydraulic pressure, rather than relying on expensive outsourced replacements.

Automated Drum Welding: To reinforce internal components for heavy-duty use, we utilize an automated drum welder that lays down perfect, precision circular welds.

Expanding Capabilities: We are continuously upgrading our shop floor—including the upcoming addition of an in-house lathe—to ensure every transmission that leaves our bench is built to the highest mechanical standard.
Custom Retrofits & Classic Conversions
Beyond standard rebuilding, we have the fabrication capabilities to engineer heavy custom retrofits. A prime example is a recent 1963 Chevy Impala we upgraded from an original mechanical three-speed to a 700R4, giving the classic chassis a modern four-speed with overdrive.
To make the 700R4 function flawlessly in a '63 frame, we engineered the entire conversion in-house:

Custom Fabrication: Fabricated a heavy-duty custom crossmember to support the new drivetrain.

Mechanical Conversion: Replaced the stock setup with a fully mechanical valve body to operate the 700R4 without needing a modern computer system.

Drivetrain Integration: Engineered custom shift linkage from scratch and retrofitted a new starter to properly engage the updated system.
Project Availability: Because classic retrofits require extensive custom fabrication, precise mock-ups, and heavy engineering, we only accept these builds on a strict, case-by-case basis.
